Funding of 4,25 millions of dollars

As part of the Government Action Plan to Foster Economic Inclusion and Social Participation 2017-2023, the Fondation OLO (Œuf, Lait, Orange, i.e., Egg, Milk, Orange) has recently been awarded $4.25 millions in funding over five years. Thanks to these funds, the foundation is hoping to increase the accessibility and duration of its support for vulnerable families.
Since 1991, the Fondation OLO has supported the adoption of healthy eating habits with families living below the low-income cut-off. During pregnancy, the foundation offers pregnant women an egg, a liter of milk, 125 ml of orange juice and prenatal vitamins every day to ensure the birth of a healthy baby. As well, during the first two years of the baby’s life, the foundation further supports the family by promoting the adoption of healthy eating habits by offering a wide range of educational tools and professional advice.
The Foundation helps about 15,000 women annually, which is about 80% of those who could benefit from their support. With this new government funding, it aims to help 100% of these women by:
