Community-based organizations

Fondation Olo and community-based organizations: working together to build healthy family eating habits!

Support workers in community-based organizations work closely with families and build trusting relationships with them. For this reason, they are in an ideal position to help parents and children acquire better eating habits, one step at a time.

We offer community-based support workers a wide range of resources and tools to enhance their knowledge and perfect healthy eating activities that encourage little ones and their families to eat well, cook and eat as a family.

By collaborating with community-based organizations, Fondation Olo hopes to foster links and complementarity between the services offered to families by the various partners in the field, particularly the health and social services network, in connection with healthy eating (or food security).

Let’s cook with Olo – a cooking workshop support program

There’s nothing like getting your hands dirty to develop your knowledge and enjoyment of cooking! At Fondation Olo, we’re convinced that cooking skills are important to promote healthy eating among families. Community organizations can play an important role in developing the cooking skills of families for whom these skills represent a barrier.

With this in mind, Fondation Olo has developed Let’s cook with Olo, a cooking workshop support program for community-based organizations.

Let’s cook with Olo is part of the activities offered in the health network as part of Olo Care and aims at reaching more families, sustainably and continuously.

Objectives

Promoting the development of cooking skills and healthy lifestyle habits among parents of young children.
