Thanks to Dîner Olo, the 16th annual gourmet benefit for Fondation Olo, held on November 1st, a total of $230,000 was raised for the cause. The event, which was presented by Aon companies and by Sobeys’ Marchés Tradition and Marché Bonichoix banners, brought together over 400 guests from the business world. Part of the total raised was an amount of $100,000 collected by Tradition and Bonichoix merchants province-wide over the last year.
“The generosity of our donors and partners during Dîner Olo makes it possible for Fondation Olo to continue its mission of giving families an equal chance of bringing healthy babies into the world and of them acquiring healthy eating habits early on,” said Élise Boyer, Fondation Olo’s General Manager. “Some 15,000 families throughout the province get Olo’s follow-up care every year, benefitting the littlest among us.”

Dîner Olo is a fall must-attend event that benefits babies’ health. It was hosted by Olo’s spokespersons, actors Hélène Bourgeois Leclerc and Pierre-François Legendre. At the event, an interactive auction raised profits of $30,000, which are counted in the total amount collected.
Among the partners of the 2019 Dîner Olo, Fondation Olo is proud to count on the event’s Honorary Co-chairs: Marie-Frédérique Senécal, Senior Vice-President of Aon and Manager of its Montréal office; and Alain Ménard, Senior Vice-President of retail operations at Sobeys Quebec. The event’s associate partners, Agropur and Bonduelle, also provided indispensable support.
The 2019 Honorary Committee
The success of Dîner Olo also strongly depends on the commitment of the kind-hearted volunteer members of its Honorary Committee. We thank them for their efforts: Guy Barthell (Guy Barthell Gestion et conseils), Véronique Boileau (Agropur), François Brabant (Dentons), Pierre Carrier (Agnus Dei), Jean-François Couture (Essilor), Caroline Dignard (Cogeco), Lyne Gagné (Aon Risk Services), Martin Gingras (Banque Nationale), Ève Kirlin (Sobeys) and Luc Reny (Power Corporation Canada).
The Fondation was also lucky to be able to count on valued collaborators and sponsors: Agnus Dei catering, Creativ Nation, Delta, the Société des Alcools du Québec, as well as Cogeco Média and its radio stations: 96.9 CKOI, Radio Circulation 730 AM, Rythme FM 105,7, 98.5 FM and The Beat 92.5.
Lastly, Fondation Olo warmly thanks everyone who took part in Dîner Olo, be it by buying a ticket, making a donation or bidding at the auction, as well as all the companies that generously donated lots to the auction.
A precious contribution from Tradition and Bonichoix merchants
The success of Dîner Olo owes much to the extraordinary mobilization of 135 merchants across Quebec who collected $100,000 over the last year. Alain Ménard, Senior Vice-President of retail operations at Sobeys Quebec, stated, “I’m very proud of the combined efforts of the Tradition and Bonichoix merchants Quebec-wide who supported the Olo campaign. Through fundraising at the checkout, donations, rebates on product sales and other original activities thought up by the merchants, we managed to greatly increase the donations offered to Fondation Olo.”
